What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas–especially the gorgeous structures and sceneries you’ll see along the way. Since the first casinos popped up along this side of Nevada in the 1930s, talented artists and architects have built fantastic places to welcome thrill-seekers from all over America.

Let me show you some of the best photo spots in Las Vegas, perfect for an Instagrammable trip.

Most of these places are a part of hotels or casinos, so you can even stay in some of them! I’ve been to Las Vegas three times and always found new setpieces to see or activities to try.

  • Open: All day and night, following hotel schedule. Check their website for show dates and dark dates (renovation time)

  • Price: Free

  • Directions: Next to the Bellagio Hotel Lobby, right of the Front Desk.

This is definitely one of my favorite photo spots in Las Vegas. When you look at the city, you would never think of lovely wisterias and blooming hyacinths indoors. It’s a surprise to find so much natural wonder hidden inside the Bellagio Hotel, and it is very well-kept too.

What’s wonderful about the gardens is their incredible diversity. The Conservatory team makes sure to bring out unique displays every season, all with their own themes. These can range from hot air balloons decked in flowers, giant plants, daisy kettles and teacups and so much more.

When a new season rolls around, the team goes out of their way to reuse whatever plants remained from the last one too. There’s a clear dedication to sustainability and creativity on display, and it makes every visit a new, wonderful experience.

The Fountain Show

  • Open: Mon – Fri from 3 PM to 12 AM and Sat – Sun from 12 PM to 12 AM (Tip: Appears every fifteen minutes from 7 PM to 12 AM).

  • Price: Free

  • Directions: Right in front of the Bellagio Hotel

Another iconic landmark in Las Vegas is the regular Fountain Show the Bellagio Hotel holds. Over a thousand fountains shoot out from the pool at the hotel front, swaying and dancing to classical and jazz music.

It’s especially lovely at night when the light show joins in. The mix of colorful lights and blue waters make for one of the most romantic photo spots in Las Vegas. You can find many angles of it, one of my favorite is to watch it from above from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

The Bellagio Hotel is also one of the more famous hotels in the state, with a lot of gorgeous rooms and luxurious amenities. If you’re looking for a lovely night in Vegas, you can book a room here!

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

  • Open: Open 24/7, gondola rides open from 10 AM to 11 PM

  • Price: Visiting is free, gondola rides are $39 per person

  • Directions: In the middle of the Las Vegas Strip in front of the Mirage.

This recreation of the Venetian canals is a highlight of Las Vegas’ many architectural replicas. The Venetian Resort is a gorgeous building complex with turquoise rivers, sparkling white bridges and towers. Like the real canals in Venice, you can walk along the rivers or admire them from breezy cafes.

You can also ride a gondola in the waters, waving and watching the people pass by on the land. A wonderful gondolier will also sing songs to set the stage for your romantic trip down the river. If you arrive at 9:45 AM and 4:20 PM, you’ll also find them singing in chorus in a regular Gondolier March.

Gondola photoshoots

There are two main canals to ride on: the indoor gondola ride, and the outdoor one. The outdoor canal is one of the best photo spots in Las Vegas, so I’d highly recommend booking a ride there. On days with less favorable weather, the indoor canal also has fake blue skies and a bustling ambiance that can still lend itself to some great pictures.

If you’re looking for the best pictures, I’d highly recommend booking a private tour. It’s pricier than the regular one, being $156, but it lets you set up your own pictures more comfortably. From here you can sit on the opposite side of your photographer and ask them to use wide lenses to capture the whole scenery. Wide lens can also be replaced by a 0.5 lens on your phone! Above are some pictures of me on this ride as an example. Note that I used a Canon R5 + RF 15-35 mm F2.8L.

The Venetian Resort is a fantastic place to stay. It has a lovely Renaissance-era aesthetic with beautiful furnishings and decor, and comfortable amenities. If you’re interested, check out some of their rooms here!

The Sphere

The Sphere is a new, modern installation in Las Vegas. It’s right near the Venetian, and it’s hard to miss it. This gigantic ball of light glows at different times of the day, showing off all sorts of pictures and images on over 580 thousand square feet of LEDs.

I got a little obsessed with the Sphere when I went to Vegas in 2023, especially since it had only opened for a few months. It’s a little hypnotic from afar, and it’s incredible at night.

Generally, I’d recommend avoiding photoshoots in the midday here as it can show a lot of distortions in the harsh light. Early morning, sunset or nighttime are ideal.

As for good photography spots, you can actually try taking pictures from the windows of the Venetian hotel. If that’s not an option, you can drive around like I did and find the perfect spot for a pic. Just note that many of the parking lots around the Sphere don’t allow you to take pictures for too long!

Valley of Fire

Valley of Fire
  • Open: From sunrise to sunset, with 24-hour access to camping grounds

  • Price: $10-15

  • Directions: Go through the I-15 North from the Las Vegas Strip, then take Exit 75 towards the Valley of Fire.

The Mojave Desert holds some of the most surreal views in all of Nevada. The Valley of Fire offers a quick look into this desert’s wonders, and it’s become a staple to all my visits to Las Vegas. I’m very fond of nature, so I always appreciate an opportunity to admire the outdoors.

If it’s your first time visiting, I’d recommend going with a tour group like Pink Jeep Tours. They have a detailed itinerary to follow and many fantastic places to take photos in. Their jeeps are also adorably pink, so that’s an added photogenic bonus.

If you drive about 10 minutes from the visitor center along the Mouse’s Tank Road you’ll get to one of the prettiest views in the park! Here’s it, taken during a blue hour with a 250mm lens to get this dreamy “background compression” look:

Excalibur Hotel & Casino

Excalibur Hotel & Casino
  • Price: Free to visit

  • Directions: Located at the intersection of Frank Sinatra Drive and Reno Avenue, north of Luxor Hotel & Casino

In the middle of the Las Vegas Strip is a whimsical row of giant, colorful fairytale castles. These buildings are a part of the Excalibur Hotel and Casino, a resort complex with 4 pools, more than a dozen restaurants, and a wide range of performance shows all over the area. It’s also the most amusing piece of architecture you can find on the Strip.

The red and blue thatched roofs on the towers make for a charmingly cartoonish impression up close. The resort also hosts some magical events, like jousting shows you’d see in the Middle Ages. It’s one of the most unique photo spots in Las Vegas and a perfect way to bring out your inner prince or princess.

If you’re interested, you can also book a night out in the Excalibur. They’re surprisingly affordable and have a lot of budget options for couples and families. The premises are also close to some other major hotspots in Vegas, so I’d recommend trying it! You can find out more on their Booking website.

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower from Paris Las Vegas
  • Price: Free to visit

  • Directions: Just right of the Bellagio

If you’ve ever wanted to experience Paris without the trouble of flights, here’s your best bet. The Paris Las Vegas resort and hotels reconstructs many of the French city’s most famous attractions in a little part of Nevada. Along with great food and atmosphere, it’s also one of the most popular photo spots in Las Vegas.

You’ll be able to find the Louvre, the Paris Opera House, and even a smaller Arc de Triomphe around the premises here. They’re surprisingly similar to the real ones, though with their own Las Vegas twist to them. The highlight of the experience, however, is the famous Eiffel Tower, which soars over 540 feet above Las Vegas.

I love the Eiffel Tower’s impressive height–it’s a fantastic way to get panoramic pictures of the city from high up. It’s where I got the pictures of the Bellagio Fountain Show from, but there’s a lot of other things to see up there!

The view above the Eiffel Tower

Those are just a few of my favorite photo spots in Las Vegas! There’s a lot to look at on the Strip, so just keep an eye (and camera) out for anything that catches your interest. Which photo spot did you like the most?
